The first new Guns N' Roses song to feature Slash and Duff McKagan in 27 years, "Absurd" features all the pieces you'd want in a new GNR song - piercing wails from Axl Rose, grinding guitar from Slash and a thumping bassline from McKagan. Too bad it's all thrown together in a confusingly shapeless, grating jumble

100. "Hard Skool" ...new release September 2021

Finally, here's a revamped Chinese Democracy track that Slash can really sink his teeth into. The chunky riff and Appetite for Destruction-style structure of "Hard Skool" gives the top hat-wearing guitar hero plenty of room to roam, and Rose joins the fun with a vintage vocal performance.

We're moving up to a higher level of previously unreleased Chinese Democracy songs now. "Perhaps" is an uptempo piano-based rocker which finds Rose operating in an appealingly relaxed vocal range. Things get nicely chaotic during the choruses, and the soaring "you're all alone now" hook might be the most memorable part of any post-reunion GNR song.
